On paper, this shouldn’t work. Your dad’s girlfriend? Really?! And then just casually throw in a dance teacher/student dynamic for good measure? How on earth do you make that believable, delicious AND navigate the absolute moral minefield you’ve created?

What I love about Harper’s writing is that she never shies away from the uncomfortable stuff. The characters are intelligent, the emotions are messy, and the moral dilemmas aren’t conveniently brushed aside just because two women have ridiculous chemistry. You understand why they shouldn’t, you know the potential fallout, and yet you’re desperately rooting for them anyway. THAT is clever writing.
And can we talk about the steam?! A FIVE CHAPTER love scene. FIVE. My little lesbian heart has never been so grateful. Honestly, I feel like I should send Harper flowers. 💐😂
I devoured the ebook and loved the audiobook just as much. Abby Craden is practically the voice of the entire Blissverse at this point, and I’m here for every single character she brings to life. Her performance was brilliant, but I particularly loved her portrayal of Eric. She really brought something special to his character.
Intelligent, emotional, morally complicated and gloriously sexy. Everything I adore about Harper Bliss, wrapped up in one deliciously forbidden romance.
