Very good book.

Despite this being a controversial story, I loved it. It was real, it was difficult, it was forbidden, and yet so very beautiful. Life happens, and against all best intentions, betrayal happens. It is painful and heartbreaking, and often unthinkable. I don’t support cheating, but I am aware that nothing is as black and white as it sometimes seems.
As this story showed, love can be born when you least expect it.

I do admire Kevin. I don’t think many guys in real life would react the way he did on the news, which he got.

I really like Harper Bliss’ stories. Somehow, she makes them real for me. I always get lost in them. The characters are well-developed and likable, and the plot is interesting and has a good pace.

Interesting family dynamics, lovely primary and secondary characters, and honest communication make A Family Affair a truly excellent read. Sadie and Kate are put through the ringer, but family and friend support help them through it all. A different, yet satisfying book.
